Gerard "Vito" Diacri

A native of Stamford Connecticut, graduate and active alumni of Skin Slap U., Gerard Diacri holds a B.S. in Percussitation and a Masters in Advanced Phonication. He has performed throughout the Metro New York area and New England for the past eighteen years.

Gerard has worked with many R&B, jazz fusion and contemporary latin groups and has appeared on such notable stages as the Palladium in Manhattan, Toads Place in New Haven Ct., The Sting in Hartford Ct. and the Oakdale Theatre.

He has made T.V. and Radio appearances with NYC Allstars and has performed with opening acts for Dave Valentin, Yellowjackets, Billy Cobham, Pancho Sanchez, Tito Puente, Jose Felecianos, Al DiMeola, Bella Fleck, Steve Morris (Dixie Dregs) and The Neville Brothers.

He has recorded on CD’s for Jan Hammer, Eurythmics, World Beat Grooves for Bass (for Hal Leonard Publishing) by Tony Cimorosi, "Iguana, Iguana" by Craig Purpura, “The Pleasure of Your Company” by Richard “Cookie” Thomas, “Within Reach” by Natural High, Ricardo Arancibia, John Cain, Charles Haynes, Nik Bariluk, Tony Cimorosi, “Sea Glass” by Ken Volpe, “Paris/Rio Express” by Charles Haynes, Laco Deczi, Audry Chambliss project and many others.

Gerard has worked with a wide range of players including Rodney Holmes, Danny Gottlieb, Ed Uribe, Dennis Davis, Lee Weisman, Onaje Alan-Gumbs, John Patitucci, Lou Marini, John Cutrone, Cameron Brown, Mario Rodriguez, Emedin Rivera, Dr. Lyn Christie, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Lou Volpe, Paul Ricci, JoJo Kuo, Charles Ernst, Robert Aries, Richard “Cookie” Thomas and Tony Cimorosi.
